Surrey County Council's Local Committee (Tandridge) is one of eleven across Surrey. These Local Committees were set up in 2002 to bring the County Council and its services closer to people in Tandridge.
In Tandridge, the Local Committee is made up of six county councillors for Tandridge which are Chris Botten, David Hodge, David Lee, Cameron McIntosh, Lesley Steeds and Rose Thorn.
The Local Committee is able to:
monitor the performance of services locally;
allocate funding to local groups to promote the social, economic and environmental well-being of the local community;
take decisions on local highways matters;
recommend improvements to local services including social care, education, the environment and community transport, to the county council's executive
work with key partners to meet the needs of local residents
act as advocates on behalf of Tandridge in the development of county plans and policies
The Tandridge Local Committee meets in public four times a year. Their next meeting is scheduled for 1 March 2019 at 10:15am.
